Why choose the Ashley Johurst Coffee Table with Lift Top T444-9?
The Ashley Johurst T444-9 blends rustic-industrial styling with practical everyday flexibility. Its spring-lift top rises to 26.63 inches high, creating a more accessible surface for occasional laptop use, meals or paperwork from the sofa. A fixed lower shelf adds open storage for books, baskets or display pieces, while casters make the table easier to reposition when the room layout changes. The grayish brown finish, distressed wood texture and black metallic accents give the table a distinctive two-tone look without sacrificing its functional character.

How much space should you leave around the Ashley Johurst T444-9?

The Johurst measures 48.25" W × 26.25" D when closed, giving it a moderate rectangular footprint. For everyday use, allowing roughly 14–18 inches between the table and sofa is a practical starting point for comfortable reach and circulation, as explained in our coffee-table clearance and walkway guide. When the top is raised, overall depth increases to 37.75 inches, so the room should also accommodate that forward extension. Our coffee-table decision guide can help when comparing the Johurst's proportions with your sofa and surrounding walkways.

What can the Johurst T444-9 lift top be used for?

In its normal position, the tabletop sits 19 inches high. Raising the spring-lift top brings the surface to 26.63 inches and closer to the seated user, making occasional meals, laptop work, writing or games more convenient from the sofa. That extra height and reach are among the practical differences discussed when choosing between a lift-top and standard coffee table. Comfort will still depend on your sofa seat height, depth and preferred table position.

What storage and mobility features does the Ashley Johurst T444-9 offer?

A fixed lower shelf provides open space for books, baskets or decorative items, while the fully finished interior beneath the lift-top area adds another usable storage zone. The table also includes casters, which make it easier to move or fine-tune its position in front of the sofa. This combination of storage, mobility and a raised work surface gives the Johurst more flexibility than a basic fixed coffee table.
