Delivery & Shipping Policy
We are committed to making your delivery experience simple, transparent, and reliable. If an item is unavailable or delayed, we notify customers immediately and offer alternatives or cancellation with a full refund.
Shipping Coverage (Continental U.S. Only)
VBU Furniture ships exclusively within the continental United States (the 48 contiguous states). We do not deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations. Any orders placed outside our service area will be canceled and fully refunded. This ensures accurate delivery times, reliable freight service, and transparent pricing for all customers nationwide.
Fulfillment & Shipping Information
Orders are fulfilled from our Chicago warehouse or directly from our supplier warehouses, depending on product availability.
Local deliveries within the Chicagoland area ship from our Chicago warehouse when possible.
Supplier direct fulfillment is used for items not stored locally or for faster delivery to certain regions.
Tracking information will be provided as soon as your order ships.
Order Processing
Standard order processing time is 1–3 business days before shipment.

Outdoor Drop-Off (Standard Delivery)
Delivered to the exterior entrance, garage, or ground-floor location.
Appointment required.
No assembly or trash removal.

Room-of-Choice Delivery (Illinois Only)
Delivered inside your home to the room of your choice (up to one flight of stairs).
Appointment required.
Includes placement only — no assembly or packaging removal.
Delivery path must be clear and safe.

White-Glove Delivery (Coming Soon)
Delivery, unpacking, assembly, and packaging removal.
Appointment required.
Recommended for large or complex furniture items.

Free Warehouse Pick-Up (Elk Grove Village, IL)
Pick up your order directly from our warehouse at no charge.
Appointment required.
Bring a valid photo ID and your order confirmation.

Chicagoland Area
Items fulfilled from our local warehouse: Typically ship within 3–7 days.
Items fulfilled from supplier warehouses: Typically ship within 1–2 weeks.

Nationwide Delivery (48 Contiguous States)
Most items ship within 1–2 weeks, depending on carrier schedules and warehouse location.
Stock Availability & Backorders
- We do not accept orders for items that are out of stock or on backorder.
- Occasionally, certain products may sell out due to high demand.
- When an item is unavailable, it will be clearly marked “Sold Out” and cannot be added to the cart.
- Once new inventory arrives, the product page will be updated and the item will be available for purchase again.
- We strive to keep stock information accurate and updated regularly.

Scheduling & Timing
All deliveries are scheduled by appointment. Our team or delivery partner will contact you to arrange a delivery date and time.
Items fulfilled from supplier warehouses may ship faster or slower depending on supplier processing times and product availability.
Delivery times may vary due to supplier stock, weather conditions, or carrier delays.
Stock levels vary between our Chicago warehouse and partner supplier warehouses. We confirm availability before scheduling delivery.

Before Delivery
To ensure a smooth delivery:
Verify that hallways, stairways, elevators, and doorways can accommodate the furniture dimensions.
Ensure the delivery path is clear and safe.
Someone 18+ must be present to receive the delivery.
Re-delivery or missed-appointment fees may apply if no one is available at the confirmed time.

Delivery Issues
If an item becomes unexpectedly unavailable or delayed before shipment, you will be notified immediately.
You may choose an alternative item or request a full refund before the order ships.

Inspection on Delivery
Inspect items before signing for delivery.
Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt immediately.
Hidden damage must be reported within 48 hours (see Damage Policy).
Keep all packaging materials until the issue is resolved.
If an item arrives damaged, we will repair, replace, or refund the item according to our Return Policy.

Inspection & Damages
Please inspect your items carefully upon delivery.
Report any visible damage before signing the delivery receipt.
Note issues on the delivery form and notify us immediately.
Hidden damage or missing parts must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Keep all packaging materials until the issue is resolved.
If an item arrives damaged, we will repair, replace, or refund the item according to our Return Policy.

Refusals & Cancellations After Shipment
If you cancel after the order has shipped or refuse delivery without cause:
A 30% restocking fee applies
Return shipping fees apply
If a product does not fit through your entryway, these same fees apply
Refusing delivery without a valid reason is processed as a return

Pick-Up Policy
Pick-up is by appointment only.
Orders must be picked up within 15 days of notification.
After 15 days, a $10/day storage fee will apply.
