Why choose the Ashley Carynhurst Coffee Table with Lift Top T757-9?
The Ashley Carynhurst T757-9 has a distinctive trunk-inspired design built around reclaimed solid pine and generous concealed storage. Its planked butcher-block look, light gray wash, metal keyhole hardware and riveted bracket accents give the table the character of an antique storage chest. Beneath the lift top is a deep, fully finished compartment for blankets, games, books or other living-room essentials. Raising the surface to 26.63 inches also creates a more convenient height for occasional meals, laptop use or paperwork from the sofa, while two side handles make repositioning easier.

How much space should you allow around the Ashley Carynhurst T757-9?

With a closed footprint of 52" W × 28" D, the Carynhurst is better suited to a medium or larger living room than to a very tight seating area. Keeping roughly 14–18 inches between the table and sofa is a useful starting point for comfortable reach and circulation, as outlined in our coffee-table clearance and walkway guide. When the top is raised, overall depth increases to 40 inches, so the room should also accommodate that forward movement. The broader considerations in our coffee-table decision guide can help when comparing its proportions with your sofa and walking paths.

How useful is the Carynhurst T757-9 lift top for everyday living?

The tabletop normally sits 18.25 inches high, then rises to 26.63 inches when lifted. That higher position brings the surface closer to the seated user, making occasional laptop work, meals, writing or games easier from the sofa. This change in height and reach is one of the main functional differences when comparing lift-top and standard coffee tables. Actual comfort will depend on your sofa seat height, seat depth and table placement.

How much hidden storage does the Ashley Carynhurst T757-9 have?

Storage is one of the Carynhurst's strongest features. The fully finished compartment beneath the lift top measures 47" W × 25" D × 8.5" H, creating a broad, deep space for blankets, games, books, electronics or other items you want nearby but out of sight. Unlike lift-top tables that divide storage among small drawers or cubbies, the Carynhurst provides one large uninterrupted compartment.
