Why choose the Ashley Navi Recliner 9400425?
The Ashley Navi 9400425 pairs a relatively high 22-inch seat with a moderate 21-inch seat depth, giving shoppers useful fit dimensions before they buy. Warm Fossil faux leather keeps the look contemporary and easy to coordinate, while one-pull reclining and gentle rocking provide traditional motion without powered controls. Attached cushions use high-quality foam wrapped in poly fiber, and the reinforced frame with metal seat box adds structural support. A Smoke color option is also available.

Why can the Navi 9400425 be a useful fit to compare for some older adults?

Its 22-inch seat height may reduce how far some users need to lower themselves compared with a lower chair, while the 21-inch seat depth is moderate enough that many users can sit back without an overly deep seating position. The 25-inch arm height and 24-inch space between the arms also provide a roomy setup. The limitation is that reclining is manually operated and the rocker base moves during transfers, so it still requires user effort and balance. This is not a lift chair and does not raise the user toward a standing position. Those differences matter when comparing chair features that support easier sitting and standing .

Is the Ashley Navi 9400425 comfortable for reading or watching TV?

The Navi can work well for everyday reading or television because its 22-inch seat height, 21-inch seat depth and 24-inch seating width create a relatively upright, roomy seating position before reclining. The attached back cushion and poly-fiber-wrapped foam add support, while the pull-tab mechanism lets the user shift into a more relaxed position when desired. Individual preferences for back angle, head support and seat depth remain important when comparing seat comfort and fit .

What does the 3-inch wall clearance mean for Navi 9400425 placement?

The Navi needs only about 3 inches between the chair and the wall, which makes rear placement easier than with many traditional recliners. It still extends to about 66 inches when fully reclined, so the open floor area in front of the chair remains important.

VBU Fit & Function Analysis

Older-adult considerations: Strong comparison candidate
The 22" seat height, 21" seat depth, 25" arm height and 24" seating area provide unusually useful fit measurements for a manual recliner. The manual mechanism and rocker base still require effort and transfer stability. It is not a lift chair and provides no standing assistance.

Wall-placement profile: Efficient
Only about 3" of rear clearance is required, although the chair still reaches 66" when fully reclined.

What to measure before buying
Allow for the 39" overall width, 66" fully reclined length, 3" rear clearance and a minimum 30" doorway along the delivery route.
