What makes the IFD Tamesis IFD2221CNS Console worth considering?
The Tamesis IFD2221CNS combines a clean 67-inch profile with a practical mix of drawer and cabinet storage. Three drawers provide space for smaller household items, while two glass doors keep selected contents visible without leaving the cabinet completely open. Sustainable mango wood gives the console a natural material story, and a multi-step lacquer blending light brown and chocolate brown tones creates a warmer, layered finish. Its relatively restrained transitional styling makes it especially relevant for shoppers comparing mango wood consoles, glass-door storage cabinets and medium-width consoles with a more refined look.
How is storage divided in the Tamesis IFD2221CNS?
The Tamesis IFD2221CNS combines three drawers with two glass-front doors, so the console can handle both concealed and display-oriented storage. The drawers are useful for smaller accessories or items you prefer to keep out of sight, while the glass-door sections work well for dishes, books, decorative objects or other pieces you may want to keep visible. Magnetic catches help keep the doors closed. In a dining room, that combination can overlap with the function of a
sideboard, buffet or credenza
depending on how you plan to use the cabinet.
What kind of wood is used in the IFD Tamesis IFD2221CNS?
International Furniture Direct lists the Tamesis IFD2221CNS as crafted from sustainably sourced mango wood. Mango gives the console a natural wood foundation, while the lightly distressed surface treatment and translucent lacquer allow some of the wood character to remain visible. Mortise-and-tenon construction adds a traditional joinery detail behind the cleaner transitional appearance.
What gives the Tamesis IFD2221CNS its light-and-dark brown finish?
The Tamesis IFD2221CNS uses a multi-step lacquer process that blends light brown and chocolate brown tones rather than applying one flat color across the cabinet. International Furniture Direct describes the wood as delicately distressed, which adds subtle variation to the surface while keeping the overall design more refined than heavily rustic furniture. Custom metal handles with a non-chip finish add a darker accent to the brown wood tones.
