What stands out about the IFD Antique IFD966CONS-MC Console?
The Antique IFD966CONS-MC combines a long 73-inch profile with six glass doors, giving it considerably more display presence and enclosed storage than a simple open console table. It is crafted from solid pine and finished by hand in soft multicolored tones designed to resemble recovered wood. Glass-front doors keep stored pieces visible, while fixed interior shelves help organize dishes, decorative objects or other household items. Its hand-distressed finish, metal pulls and rustic character make it especially relevant for shoppers comparing solid pine consoles, glass-door consoles and multicolor rustic storage furniture.
What can you store or display in the Antique IFD966CONS-MC?
Six glass doors open to fixed shelving, giving the IFD966CONS-MC multiple enclosed areas for storing and displaying items at the same time. The glass fronts make the console well suited to pieces you may want to keep visible, such as dinnerware, serving pieces, books or decorative objects, while the doors help separate those items from the surrounding room. Because the shelves are fixed rather than adjustable, shoppers with taller objects should compare their item heights with the interior space before ordering.
Where does a 73-inch console like the IFD Antique IFD966CONS-MC work best?
At 73 inches wide but only 16.5 inches deep, the Antique IFD966CONS-MC provides substantial storage without projecting as far into the room as many deeper cabinets. That proportion can work well along a dining-room wall, in a living room or in another area with enough uninterrupted wall space for its full width. Its enclosed storage also gives it some functional overlap with other dining-room storage pieces, so shoppers deciding between different formats may find the distinctions among a
sideboard, buffet and credenza
useful when planning the room.
How does the Antique IFD966CONS-MC get its reclaimed-wood look?
International Furniture Direct uses solid pine that is hand distressed and finished in several soft colors rather than one uniform stain. The multi-step hand-rubbed treatment is designed to give the wood the appearance of recovered or aged material, and a clear lacquer coating is applied over the colors for a smooth finished surface. Metal pulls with a non-chip finish add another rustic detail, while mortise-and-tenon construction provides a traditional structural element behind the decorative treatment.
