What makes the IFD Antique IFD969CONS-6MC Console stand out?
The Antique IFD969CONS-6MC combines a substantial 70.75-inch width with six iron-mesh doors, creating a distinctive mix of enclosed storage and rustic metal detailing. Solid pine is finished by hand in soft multicolored tones designed to resemble recovered wood, while hand-wrought iron pulls and an iron base reinforce the mixed-material look. Its relatively shallow 15.25-inch depth helps control how far the cabinet projects into the room. A smaller 4-door version, SKU IFD969CONS-4MC, is also available for shoppers who prefer the same design in a more compact width.

Can the Antique IFD969CONS-6MC be used as a buffet as well as a console?

Yes. The IFD969CONS-6MC offers substantial enclosed storage across six iron-mesh doors, making it useful in a dining room for serving pieces, dishes and other accessories as well as in a living room or hallway as a storage console. Its 70.75-inch-wide top also provides a broad surface for lamps, décor or items used during meals. Shoppers deciding how to use a piece like this may find the distinctions among a sideboard, buffet and credenza helpful when planning storage and placement.

What do the six iron-mesh doors add to the IFD969CONS-6MC?

The six iron-mesh doors give the Antique IFD969CONS-6MC a more textured, industrial-rustic appearance than a console with plain wood or glass fronts. The mesh provides a partial view of the stored contents while still creating an enclosed cabinet face, and magnetic catches help keep each door secured. Hand-wrought iron pulls and the iron base repeat the metal detailing across the full width of the console and create a strong contrast with the distressed pine.

Is the 6-door Antique console suitable for a long but relatively shallow wall?

At 70.75 inches wide, the IFD969CONS-6MC needs a fairly long stretch of wall, but its 15.25-inch depth keeps the cabinet comparatively shallow from front to back. That combination can work well when you want substantial storage without using the depth of a larger cabinet. If wall width is more limited, the same Antique design is also offered in a 4-door version, SKU IFD969CONS-4MC, measuring 48.5 inches wide.
