Why choose the Ashley Santorine Queen Sofa Sleeper 2170639?
The Ashley Santorine 2170639 combines genuine top-grain leather on the main seating-contact areas with matched faux leather on the remaining surfaces, giving shoppers the feel of real leather where the body makes the most contact without representing the entire sofa as leather. Its 70 inches of seating space between the arms provides generous everyday seating, while tufted cushioning gives the sofa a tailored look. For overnight guests, a separate 60" × 72" memory foam mattress unfolds over a supportive steel sleeper frame. Dark Brown is the featured color, with Bone also available.

How much space does the Ashley Santorine 2170639 need when closed and open?
The Santorine measures 85 inches wide and 38 inches deep when used as a sofa. With the sleeper opened, the distance from the outside back of the sofa to the end of the sleeper is 91 inches. Plan at least that much clear room depth for the bed itself, plus additional space at the foot if you want a usable walkway. Coffee tables, ottomans and other furniture in front of the sofa may need to move. When comparing
sofa types for apartments,
consider both the 85-inch wall span and the floor space required when the queen sleeper is open.
What mattress comes with the Ashley Santorine 2170639?
The Santorine includes a bi-fold queen memory foam mattress measuring 60 inches wide, 72 inches long and 4 inches thick. It rests on a supportive steel sleeper frame, and Ashley states that the memory foam is designed for better airflow and is encased in damask ticking. The actual 60" × 72" dimensions are useful when comparing a
sofa and sleeper sofa,
because sleeper mattresses can differ from standard bedroom mattresses in size and construction.
Is the Ashley Santorine 2170639 an all-leather sofa?
No. Ashley describes the Santorine as a leather-match sofa. Top-grain leather is used on the inside back, seat and arm cushions—the areas that receive the most direct body contact—while matched faux leather covers the remaining surfaces. This construction gives the main seating areas genuine leather contact while keeping the exterior appearance coordinated.
Why can the leather on the Santorine 2170639 vary in grain or shade?
The top-grain leather used on the seating-contact areas is a natural material, so individual hides can show grain variation, shade differences, growth marks or healed scars. Ashley identifies these as natural characteristics of real leather rather than defects, which means two Santorine sofas may not look perfectly identical in every leather panel.
VBU Fit & Function Analysis
Room fit
The Santorine needs an 85" wall span and is 38" deep when closed. With the sleeper open, allow at least 91" from the outside back to the end of the bed, plus extra room at the foot if you want a walkway.
Material and sleeping profile
Top-grain leather covers the main seating-contact areas, matched faux leather covers the remaining surfaces, and overnight guests use a separate 60" × 72" × 4" queen memory foam mattress.
