What floor space does the Ashley Cashton 4060539 require as a sofa and as a sleeper?

In everyday sofa form, the Cashton is 87 inches wide and 38 inches deep. Once the sleeper is opened, the distance from the outside back of the sofa to the end of the bed is 91 inches. A room therefore needs at least that much depth for the opened sleeper itself, with extra space at the foot if guests need a clear path around it. Furniture placed directly in front of the sofa may need to be moved, so both closed and open footprints matter when evaluating sofa types for apartments or other multipurpose rooms.

What size mattress is inside the Ashley Cashton 4060539?

Inside the Cashton is a bi-fold queen memory foam mattress measuring 60 inches wide, 72 inches long and 4 inches thick. The mattress sits on a supportive steel frame, giving overnight guests a dedicated sleeping surface rather than asking them to sleep on the sofa cushions. Actual mattress measurements are worth checking when comparing a sofa and sleeper sofa, because sleeper-bed dimensions can differ from standard bedroom mattresses.

What gives the Cashton 4060539 its casual look?

The visual character comes from the combination of a broad, chunky frame, crosshatched polyester upholstery and contrasting accent pillows. Rather than relying on a sharply tailored silhouette, the Cashton uses generous cushioning and texture to create a softer, more relaxed appearance that can bridge casual and contemporary rooms.

Will the Ashley Cashton 4060539 fit through a 36-inch doorway?

Ashley lists 36 inches as the minimum doorway width for delivery. That measurement should be treated as only one part of the delivery check. Hallway width, stair landings, elevator openings, ceiling height and the ability to pivot an 87-inch-long sofa through turns can all affect access.

VBU Fit & Function Analysis

Space planning
The Cashton occupies 87" of wall width and 38" of floor depth as a sofa. Opened for guests, it extends 91" from the outside back to the end of the sleeper, so the area in front should stay easy to clear.

Day-to-night use
Everyday seating provides 71" between the arms, while the pull-out queen bed uses a separate 60" × 72" × 4" memory foam mattress.
