Why choose the Ashley Scranto Recliner 6650225?
The Ashley Scranto 6650225 offers a straightforward mix of cushioned comfort, pull-tab reclining and gentle rocker motion in a moderate 37-inch-wide frame. Its bustle-style back and attached cushions use high-quality foam wrapped in poly fiber, while the 100% polyester upholstery keeps the look casual and versatile. A reinforced frame and metal seat box add structural support without changing the chair’s simple, easy-to-use character.

Could the Ashley Scranto 6650225 work for some older adults?

The Scranto may suit some mobile older adults because its 20-inch seat height avoids an especially low sitting position, while the 21-inch seat depth is moderate enough for many users to sit back without an overly deep seat. Its 27-inch arm height also gives substantial support beside the seat. The tradeoff is that the pull-tab mechanism is manual and the rocker base moves during transfers, so it requires more effort and balance than a stationary power or lift recliner. This is not a lift chair and does not raise the user toward a standing position. Those differences are useful when comparing chair features that support easier sitting and standing .

What contributes to the comfort of the Scranto 6650225?

A bustle-style back, attached cushions and poly-fiber-wrapped foam give the Scranto its soft, supportive feel, while the 20-inch seat height and 21-inch seat depth provide practical measurements for judging seat comfort and fit instead of relying only on how plush the chair looks.

How much room should you allow for the Scranto 6650225?

The Scranto extends to about 67 inches when fully reclined and needs roughly 12 inches between the chair and the wall. Its 37-inch width is moderate, but the rocker base still benefits from open surrounding space rather than tight placement beside tables or other seating.

VBU Fit & Function Analysis

Older-adult considerations: Selective fit
The 20" seat height, 21" seat depth and 27" arm height are reasonably supportive for some users, but the manual pull-tab mechanism and rocker base require user effort and transfer stability. It is not a lift chair and provides no standing assistance.

Space planning
Allow for the 37" width, 67" fully reclined length, 12" rear clearance and a minimum 32" doorway along the delivery path.
