Why choose the Ashley McGann Recliner 1030225?
The Ashley McGann 1030225 pairs thick cushioning with a tailored faux-leather look, giving it the appearance of leather with the softer feel of fabric-backed upholstery. Jumbo stitching adds definition, while attached poly-fiber-wrapped cushions create a plush seating surface. Its 20-inch seat height and 21-inch seat depth provide moderate proportions for comparing body fit, and one-pull reclining with gentle rocking keeps operation simple. A Walnut color option is also available.

How do the McGann 1030225 seat dimensions affect comfort?

The McGann has a 20-inch seat height and 21-inch seat depth, giving it more moderate proportions than very low or especially deep recliners. Thick attached cushions add softness, while the 17-inch space between the arms creates a comparatively narrow seating area. Those measurements are useful when comparing seat comfort and fit .

What should older adults consider about the Ashley McGann 1030225?

The 20-inch seat height, 21-inch seat depth and 26-inch arm height provide useful measurements to compare with individual body size and mobility needs. Reclining is manually operated, and the rocker base moves rather than remaining fixed, so using the chair requires user effort and balance. This is not a lift chair and does not raise the user toward a standing position. Those factors are relevant when comparing chair features that support easier sitting and standing .

Is the McGann 1030225 a roomy recliner?

The chair is 41 inches wide overall, but Ashley lists only 17 inches between the arms, so the outside dimensions should not be mistaken for an unusually wide seat. The McGann is better described as heavily cushioned and substantial rather than especially spacious between the arms.

VBU Fit & Function Analysis

Body-fit profile
The 20" seat height and 21" seat depth are moderate, but the 17" space between the arms is relatively narrow. Shoppers should compare that seating width carefully with individual body size.

Older-adult considerations
The seat and arm measurements provide useful comparison points, but the manual mechanism and moving rocker base require user effort and balance. It is not a lift chair and provides no standing assistance.

Space planning
Allow for the 41" width, 67" fully reclined length, 12" rear clearance and a minimum 32" doorway along the delivery path.

Fit guidance is based on manufacturer specifications and is provided for general shopping information. Individual comfort, mobility, balance and fit vary.
