Why choose the Ashley Clarington 3-Piece Sleeper Sectional with Chaise PC48405S6?
The Ashley Clarington PC48405S6 uses three distinct pieces instead of a conventional two-piece sleeper sectional: a left-arm-facing sofa with corner wedge, an armless full sleeper in the middle, and a right-arm-facing corner chaise. That layout gives the sectional a broad lounging area while placing the guest bed in the center rather than at one end. Menswear-inspired Greystone polyester upholstery adds visual texture, while attached backs, loose foam seat cushions and accent pillows create a relaxed everyday seating profile. The hidden full memory foam mattress unfolds over a supportive metal frame when overnight accommodations are needed. Greystone is the featured color, with Hemp also available.

How much room does the Clarington PC48405S6 need when the sleeper is open?
Ashley lists the right-arm-facing Clarington configuration at 93 inches wide by 141 inches deep overall. The armless sleeper itself extends 91 inches from its outside back to the end of the opened bed. If the space at the foot also needs to function as a walkway, that means a room depth of about 121–127 inches from the outside back of the sleeper when
30–36 inches of walkway clearance
is also required at the foot. The extra 30–36 inches is circulation space only; it is not part of the sleeper's 91-inch manufacturer measurement.
Where does the bed unfold on the Clarington PC48405S6?
The guest bed is built into the 64-inch-wide armless sleeper positioned between the sofa-with-wedge and the right-arm-facing chaise. That means the mattress opens from the center section rather than from one end of the sectional. Furniture placed directly in front of that middle section should therefore be easy to move when the sleeper is used.
What is the Clarington PC48405S6 like for everyday comfort and overnight guests?
Everyday seating uses attached back cushions and loose seat cushions made with high-quality foam wrapped in poly fiber, while the chaise provides a dedicated area for stretching out. For overnight use, the center sleeper unfolds to a separate bi-fold full memory foam mattress on a supportive metal frame. Ashley states that the memory foam is designed for improved airflow and is encased in damask ticking, so the guest bed uses a distinct sleep surface rather than the sectional cushions.
What does right-arm-facing mean on the Clarington PC48405S6?
PC48405S6 is the right-arm-facing configuration: when you stand in front of the sectional and face it, the corner chaise is on the right. The set consists of a left-arm-facing sofa with corner wedge, the armless sleeper in the middle and the right-arm-facing chaise. Ashley also lists the mirrored PC48405S5 configuration at 141" W × 93" D. :chatgpt-content-reference{index="2"}
How does the Clarington sleeper sectional differ from a standard sleeper sofa?
The Clarington dedicates much more floor area to everyday seating because it combines a sofa-with-wedge, center sleeper and chaise in one arrangement. A standard sleeper sofa keeps a simpler rectangular footprint, while this sectional adds corner seating and permanent chaise lounging around the hidden bed. That difference is useful when comparing a
sofa and sleeper sofa
for a large multipurpose room.
VBU Fit & Function Analysis

Space and comfort
The center sleeper opens to 91" from its outside back, while foam-and-poly-fiber cushions and the chaise support everyday lounging. The sectional is best planned for a large room rather than a compact layout.
