Why choose the Ashley Biddeford 2-Piece Sleeper Sectional with Chaise 35504S4?
The Ashley Biddeford 35504S4 gives shoppers sectional seating and overnight guest space without the 90-inch-plus closed depth found on several larger chaise sleepers. Its right-arm-facing chaise extends 73 inches into the room, while the left-arm-facing sleeper provides a separate full memory foam mattress when needed. Transitional arms add shape to the otherwise clean-lined frame, and neutral Shadow polyester upholstery makes the sectional easy to coordinate with different room styles. Attached back cushions, loose seat cushions and accent pillows complete the everyday seating setup.

How much space does the Biddeford 35504S4 need with the sleeper open?
The Biddeford measures 118 inches wide and 73 inches deep before the bed is opened, so the chaise already creates a permanent L-shaped footprint. With the sleeper deployed, the distance from the outside back of the sleeper section to the end of the bed is 93 inches. Use that 93-inch figure as the actual open sleeper depth. If the area at the foot also serves as a walkway, allow about
30–36 inches of walkway clearance
beyond the sleeper, with about 36 inches preferred for a primary circulation path.
Which side is the chaise on for Ashley Biddeford 35504S4?
SKU 35504S4 pairs a left-arm-facing full sofa sleeper with a right-arm-facing corner chaise. When you stand in front of the sectional and face it, the chaise is on your right and the sleeper is on your left. Ashley also offers the mirrored 35504S3 configuration, which places the chaise on the left and sleeper on the right.
What mattress is included with the Biddeford 35504S4 sleeper sectional?
The sleeper component uses a bi-fold full memory foam mattress measuring 52 inches wide, 72 inches long and 4 inches thick over a supportive steel frame. That gives overnight guests a dedicated sleeping surface rather than using the sectional's seat cushions, which is an important distinction when comparing a
sofa and sleeper sofa
configuration.
Why might the Biddeford work better than a deeper sleeper sectional?
The Biddeford is still very wide at 118 inches, but its 73-inch closed depth is noticeably shallower than sleeper sectionals with 90-inch-plus chaise projections. That can make the sectional easier to place in a wide room where wall length is available but front-to-back floor depth is more limited. The tradeoff is that the full sleeper still extends to 93 inches from the outside back when opened.
VBU Fit & Function Analysis
Sectional footprint
The Biddeford spans 118" along the wall but projects 73" into the room, making it shallower than many larger chaise sleepers. The bed extends to 93" from the sleeper's outside back when open.
Configuration
SKU 35504S4 combines a 73" left-arm-facing full sleeper with a 45" × 73" right-arm-facing chaise. The full memory foam mattress measures 52" × 72" × 4".
