Why choose the Ashley 5Z-Comfort Power Reclining Loveseat with Console PCU1090018?
The Ashley 5Z-Comfort PCU1090018 goes beyond basic power reclining by adding five-zone air massage and heated seat functions to both-seat relaxation. One-touch controls let you change the recline position, while Easy View™ adjustable headrests provide a separate way to fine-tune head position as you lean back. The massage system covers five zones—head, neck, upper and lower shoulders, and lumbar—and includes auto shutoff; the heated seats also use auto shutoff for added convenience. A center console places two cup holders and hidden storage between the seats, while USB-A and USB-C ports keep compatible devices within reach. Genuine leather covers the inside contact areas, including the back, seat and arm cushions, with matched faux leather on the remaining surfaces. The Coin configuration is PCU1090018; the 5Z-Comfort is also available in Onyx (PCU1090218) for a darker look. Power cord included; UL Listed.

How much room does the Ashley 5Z-Comfort PCU1090018 need when fully reclined?
The loveseat is 41 inches deep in its upright position and extends to 69.5 inches when fully reclined, so reclining adds about 28.5 inches to its front-to-back footprint. Ashley specifies 6.75 inches of space between the recliner and wall. Taken together, plan for about 76.25 inches—roughly 6 feet 4 inches—from the wall to the front edge of the fully reclined loveseat. If the area in front also needs to remain a primary walkway, adding about 30–36 inches of clear passage brings the total planning depth to roughly 106–112 inches, or about 8 feet 10 inches to 9 feet 4 inches. Those walkway figures are planning guidance rather than Ashley specifications. This added open footprint is a major consideration when comparing
power reclining seating with a stationary sofa or loveseat.
What do the heat, five-zone air massage and adjustable headrests add to the 5Z-Comfort loveseat?
These functions give each user more ways to adjust the seating experience without changing furniture or adding separate accessories. The air-massage system works across five listed zones—head, neck, upper and lower shoulders, and lumbar—while the heated seat adds a separate warmth function; both include automatic shutoff. Power recline changes the body position, and the Easy View™ headrest lets you adjust the head angle independently, which can be useful when reclining while still facing a television or conversation area.
Which parts of the Ashley 5Z-Comfort PCU1090018 are genuine leather, and what does the console provide?
Genuine leather covers the areas that receive the most body contact—the back, seat and arm cushions—while skillfully matched faux leather covers the remaining surfaces. The center console separates the two reclining seats and adds two cup holders plus hidden storage measuring about 10.75 inches wide × 12 inches deep × 4.5 inches high, giving remotes and charging cables a defined place between the seats. USB-A and USB-C connections add charging for compatible devices, with zero-draw technology consuming power only while the USB receptacle is in use. For shoppers comparing upholstery choices,
leather-contact seating and fabric upholstery differ in material feel and construction.
