Why choose the Ashley UrbanCrest Ottoman PC2080408?
The Ashley UrbanCrest PC2080408 combines a roomy 36-inch-square cushioned surface with stain-resistant Next-Gen Nuvella™ performance fabric. Its 21-inch height offers generous footrest support alongside compatible sofas and chairs, while the firm cushioning provides a substantial upholstered surface for everyday lounging. Pewter gray complements contemporary living rooms and coordinates with the UrbanCrest seating collection. A reinforced frame and non-skid legs add structural stability. For households seeking a comfortable footrest with practical fabric care, UrbanCrest offers a versatile alternative to a conventional hard-surface coffee table.

What pairs well with the UrbanCrest Ottoman? The Ashley UrbanCrest Pewter Swivel Accent Chair PC2080444 is a natural match, sharing the same gray Nuvella performance fabric and contemporary styling. For shared seating, the UrbanCrest Pewter Sectional with Chaise PC20804S2 creates a coordinated family lounging area. The ottoman's 36-inch-square cushion can serve as a separate footrest, provided its placement leaves sufficient room for the chair to swivel and for people to move around the sectional.

Is the Ashley UrbanCrest PC2080408 ottoman stain-resistant and easy to clean?

Yes. The Ashley UrbanCrest PC2080408 features stain-resistant Next-Gen Nuvella™ polyester performance fabric, making its Pewter upholstery practical for family living rooms and everyday lounging. Ashley recommends mild soap and water for routine cleaning, followed by air drying. For stubborn stains, the manufacturer's instructions specify a solution of 4 ounces of bleach to 28 ounces of water. Follow the complete care directions; stain-resistant does not mean stain-proof or waterproof. Beneath the upholstery, firm cushioning and a reinforced frame support its footrest function. Understanding how cushion construction and repeated compression influence upholstered furniture comfort also helps explain why cushion care matters alongside stain removal.

Is the 21-inch UrbanCrest ottoman the right height for a sofa or accent chair?

The Ashley UrbanCrest PC2080408 stands 21 inches high, making it a potential footrest match for sofas and chairs with seat heights around 20–22 inches. For example, the matching UrbanCrest Swivel Accent Chair PC2080444 has a 22-inch seat height, placing its seat approximately 1 inch above the ottoman. This close height relationship can create a comfortable arrangement for resting the legs, depending on personal preference and seating posture. The ottoman measures 36 inches square, so allow sufficient room between the chair and footrest without obstructing important walkways. These considerations reflect why furniture height, seating proportions and floor clearance matter when selecting a living room centerpiece. Measure your existing sofa or chair before choosing an ottoman, particularly if the seating has a low profile.

Can two people share the Ashley UrbanCrest PC2080408 ottoman as a footrest?

Yes. The Ashley UrbanCrest PC2080408 features a generous 36-inch-square cushioned surface that can accommodate two people's feet, depending on their seating positions. Its 21-inch height pairs well with sofas and chairs of similar seat height, while the square shape offers flexibility for shared lounging. Stain-resistant Next-Gen Nuvella™ fabric also makes everyday cleanup easier. When choosing between a shared upholstered footrest and a traditional coffee table, UrbanCrest favors cushioned comfort over a rigid tabletop. Allow sufficient space around the ottoman for comfortable access and walking.
