Why choose the Ashley Marxmore Dining Arm Chairs D863-02A?
The Ashley Marxmore D863-02A combines a wraparound bucket-style back and integrated arms with practical Next-Gen Nuvella™ performance upholstery. Sold as a set of two, these chairs feature beige foam-cushioned seats, solid wood frames and warm brown-finished legs. Their 18.75-inch seat height suits many standard dining tables, while adjustable front leg levelers help maintain stability on uneven flooring. The 24.5-inch-high arms create a defined, supportive seating position, making these chairs especially appealing at the ends of a dining table or in a coordinated dining arrangement.

What pairs well with the Marxmore dining arm chairs? The Ashley Marxmore Brown Dining Butterfly Extension Table D863-35 complements their warm wood legs and contemporary upholstered design, while its extension leaves provide flexibility for gatherings. The Ashley Marxmore Beige/Brown Upholstered Dining Side Chairs D863-01 offer matching Nuvella upholstery in a narrower armless silhouette. Use the arm chairs at the table ends and side chairs along the longer edges, subject to available leg and apron clearance.

Will the Ashley Marxmore D863-02A arm chairs fit under a standard dining table?

The Ashley Marxmore D863-02A has a 24.5-inch arm height and an 18.75-inch seat height, making it a potential match for standard-height dining tables. However, the armrests must clear the table apron if you want the chairs to slide underneath. Measure the table's underside clearance rather than relying on tabletop height alone. At 26.88 inches wide, each arm chair also needs more space than the matching 20.5-inch-wide Marxmore side chair. These measurements are important when choosing dining chairs based on seat height, arm clearance and table compatibility. The Marxmore arm chairs work particularly well at table ends where sufficient space is available.

Are Marxmore dining arm chairs practical for families with children?

Yes. The Ashley Marxmore D863-02A features stain-resistant Next-Gen Nuvella™ polyester upholstery, making it a practical option for family meals. For routine spills, Ashley recommends mild soap and water followed by air drying. Stubborn stains may be treated with a solution of 4 ounces of bleach to 28 ounces of water, following the complete manufacturer instructions. Stain resistance does not mean stain-proof protection. Foam cushioning, wraparound backs and integrated arms provide individual seating, while adjustable front leg levelers help stabilize the chairs on uneven floors. When comparing individual dining chairs with bench seating for families, consider comfort, ease of access and room space. Younger children may require an appropriate booster seat.

Should I choose Marxmore dining arm chairs or side chairs for my dining table?

Choose the Ashley Marxmore D863-02A arm chairs when you want a wraparound seat with armrests, and the narrower D863-01 side chairs when seating capacity is the priority. The arm chairs measure 26.88 inches wide and come in a set of two, while the matching side chairs measure 20.5 inches wide and are also sold in pairs. A practical arrangement places the arm chairs at the ends of the Marxmore Butterfly Extension Table and armless chairs along its sides. Both styles share beige Nuvella upholstery and warm brown wood finishes. When planning dining table size and seating capacity, account for chair width, table legs and available walking clearance rather than seat count alone.
