Why choose the Ashley Nenana Next-Gen Nuvella Swivel Glider Accent Chair A3000644?
The Ashley Nenana A3000644 combines two types of motion in a relatively narrow 30-inch-wide chair: a full 360-degree swivel lets you turn toward different parts of the room, while the glider base adds gentle back-and-forth movement. The usable seat is considerably wider than the overall profile may suggest, with 24 inches between the arms, a 21-inch seat depth and a 20-inch seat height. Next-Gen Nuvella™ performance upholstery gives this Stone version another practical distinction: Ashley specifies removable covers that can be machine washed, while the fabric itself can also be cleaned according to the manufacturer's care instructions. A Denim version (A3000646) is also available.

Is the Ashley Nenana A3000644 a good swivel chair for an apartment or smaller living room?
The Nenana is a reasonable small-room candidate because its stationary footprint is only 30 inches wide by 37 inches deep, which is narrower than many oversized lounge chairs. The important difference is that this chair moves: it swivels a full 360 degrees and also glides, so it should not be fitted tightly between a wall, side table and sofa just because the 30-by-37-inch footprint fits on paper. Leave enough open space around the chair for the arms and back to move without contacting nearby furniture. In a compact room, that combination of a narrower chair body and flexible orientation can be useful when
planning seating for a small living room,
but the movement envelope still needs to be considered.
Are the covers on the Ashley Nenana A3000644 machine washable?
Yes. Ashley specifies easy-to-remove covers designed for machine washing, which gives the Nenana a practical maintenance advantage over chairs with permanently attached upholstery. The Next-Gen Nuvella™ fabric is also described as stain-resistant and easy to clean. For routine spot cleaning, Ashley directs users to mild soap and water followed by air drying; for stubborn stains, the manufacturer specifies a solution of 4 ounces of bleach to 28 ounces of water. The useful distinction is that the covers are removable and washable rather than simply being described as “easy-care,” which can matter in a frequently used family room.
What do the 21" seat depth and swivel-glider motion mean for everyday sitting?
The Nenana's seat measures 24 inches wide between the arms, 21 inches deep and 20 inches high. A 21-inch depth gives more room to settle back than a very shallow accent chair, while the 20-inch seat height is useful to compare with a chair you already find easy to sit in and rise from. The motion is also worth separating into two functions: the 360-degree swivel lets you change direction without moving the chair across the floor, while the glider adds a gentle forward-and-back motion. Those features make the Nenana different from a stationary accent chair, so seat proportions and motion should be considered together when
comparing living room chair comfort and fit.
