Why choose the Ashley Wildenauer Lift-Top Coffee Table T664-9?
The Ashley Wildenauer T664-9 is built around storage as much as surface space. Two smooth-gliding dovetail drawers handle everyday items you want fully enclosed, while storage bins beneath the top give you additional room for books, remotes, chargers or other living-room essentials. The spring-lift section raises to 28 inches high for occasional meals, laptop use or paperwork from the sofa. A rich brown butcher-block-pattern veneer top over a warm satin black base gives the table a strong two-tone look, with dark pewter-tone hardware adding contrast.

How should the Ashley Wildenauer T664-9 be positioned in front of a sofa?

The Wildenauer measures 52" W × 28" D in its closed position, so it is better suited to a medium or larger seating area than to a very tight room. For comfortable reach and circulation, roughly 14–18 inches between the coffee table and sofa is a useful planning range, as explained in our coffee-table clearance and walkway guide. When the lift top is extended, overall depth increases to 39.25 inches, so the room should also allow for that movement toward the seated user. Our coffee-table decision guide can help when comparing its proportions with your sofa and surrounding walkways.

What can the Wildenauer T664-9 lift top be used for?

Lifting the top raises the usable surface from 19 inches to 28 inches high and brings it closer to the sofa. That makes the table more convenient for occasional dining, laptop work, writing or other seated tasks that are awkward on a standard low coffee table. This change in both height and reach is a key part of how lift-top and standard coffee tables differ in everyday use. The final fit will depend on your sofa seat height, seat depth and preferred sitting position.

How is storage divided inside the Ashley Wildenauer T664-9?

The Wildenauer separates storage into drawers and compartments rather than using one large cavity. Each of the two dovetail drawers measures 20.13" W × 14.63" D × 4.75" H and rides on heavy-duty ball-bearing side glides. Beneath the lift top are two side openings measuring 11.13" W × 24.38" D × 6" H plus a center opening measuring 20" W × 24.5" D × 4.38" H. That layout makes it easier to keep different types of living-room items organized instead of stacking everything together.
