Why choose the Ashley Marxmore Dining Chairs D863-01?
The Ashley Marxmore D863-01 combines comfortable upholstered seating with practical stain-resistant Next-Gen Nuvella™ fabric. Sold as a set of two, these chairs feature beige polyester upholstery, a gently curved waterfall-style backrest and solid wood frames with warm hand-rubbed brown finishes. The 19-inch seat height suits many standard dining tables, while adjustable front leg levelers help stabilize the chairs on uneven surfaces. Foam cushioning softens everyday dining, and the neutral upholstery coordinates with both contemporary and transitional interiors. Marxmore is particularly appealing for households seeking easy-care dining chairs with a refined, understated appearance.

What pairs well with the Marxmore dining chairs? The Ashley Marxmore Brown Dining Butterfly Extension Table D863-35 is their natural companion, sharing a warm wood-tone finish and contemporary styling. Its two self-storing butterfly leaves allow the dining area to expand for larger gatherings. For a more varied arrangement, add the Ashley Marxmore Beige/Brown Upholstered Dining Arm Chairs D863-02A at the table ends. Their coordinating Nuvella upholstery brings visual consistency while offering a different seating silhouette.

How many Ashley Marxmore D863-01 dining chairs come in a set?

The Ashley Marxmore D863-01 includes two upholstered dining side chairs per carton. Two sets provide four chairs, while three sets provide six. Each chair measures 20.5 inches wide, with a 19-inch seat height suitable for many standard-height dining tables. For planning, allow approximately 24 inches of table-edge space per person, then account for table legs and chair movement. The matching Marxmore butterfly extension table accommodates up to eight diners according to its specifications. Understanding how dining table dimensions and seating capacity affect chair spacing helps determine the appropriate number of sets without overcrowding the room.

Are Ashley Marxmore D863-01 dining chairs a good choice for families with children?

Yes. The Ashley Marxmore D863-01 dining chairs are a practical choice for families with children, thanks to their stain-resistant Next-Gen Nuvella™ performance fabric and easy-clean upholstery. Everyday food spills and marks can be cleaned with mild soap and water, followed by air drying. For stubborn stains, Ashley recommends a solution of 4 ounces of bleach mixed with 28 ounces of water, following the manufacturer's care instructions. The fabric is stain-resistant, not stain-proof. Foam-padded seats provide cushioning for family meals, while solid wood frames and adjustable front leg levelers support everyday use. Compared with a shared dining bench, individual chairs offer separate seats and backrests for each family member, a useful consideration when choosing between dining chairs and bench seating for family dining. For younger children, check that the 19-inch seat height suits their size or use an appropriate child seating solution.

Will the Ashley Marxmore D863-01 chairs fit a standard 30-inch dining table?

Yes, the Ashley Marxmore D863-01 is a good height candidate for a standard 30-inch dining table because its seat stands 19 inches high. That creates approximately 11 inches between the seat and tabletop, within the commonly recommended 10–12-inch range. The chair also has an 18-inch seat depth and a 20.5-inch width, useful measurements for assessing seating comfort and spacing. However, confirm the table's underside and apron clearance, especially when mixing collections. The chair's softly curved waterfall-style back provides a contemporary alternative to a straight-backed dining chair. These factors are covered in choosing dining chairs based on seat height, table compatibility and everyday comfort.
