Why choose the Ashley Kestrie Oversized Ottoman PC6870608?
The Ashley Kestrie PC6870608 brings a generous 39-inch-square cushioned surface to everyday lounging. Its firm cushioning makes it useful as a shared footrest or occasional extra seat when guests gather. Soft Feathered polyester upholstery creates a light, inviting look that pairs naturally with neutral sofas and sectionals. The 19-inch height positions the surface near many sofa seat heights, while a reinforced frame and non-skid legs provide underlying stability. Kestrie is especially appealing for households seeking a flexible upholstered centerpiece that coordinates with the matching Kestrie sectional collection.

What pairs well with the Kestrie Ottoman? The Ashley Kestrie Feathered 6-Piece Modular Sectional with Chaise PC68706S14 is its most natural companion, sharing the same light upholstery and relaxed contemporary styling. The ottoman provides a movable footrest or occasional extra seat alongside the sectional's expansive lounging arrangement. Its 39-inch-square footprint is best accommodated where there is sufficient clearance around the sectional and chaise for comfortable movement.

Can the Ashley Kestrie PC6870608 oversized ottoman be used as a coffee table or extra seating?

Yes. The Ashley Kestrie PC6870608 is designed primarily as a cushioned footrest, and Ashley also describes it as suitable for occasional extra seating. Its firmly cushioned 39-inch-square surface provides generous room for resting the legs or accommodating a guest when additional seating is needed. It can also serve as a soft alternative to a coffee table, with a stable, appropriately sized tray for lightweight accessories. Unlike a conventional wood or glass table, however, Kestrie does not provide a rigid tabletop, so drinks and other spill-prone items require extra care. This distinction matters when deciding whether an upholstered ottoman or traditional coffee table better suits everyday lounging and entertaining. Ashley does not specify a seating weight capacity or hidden storage compartment in the supplied details, so neither should be assumed. For households that regularly entertain, Kestrie offers practical flexibility without requiring a separate permanent accent chair.

What is the ideal ottoman height for a sofa, and how does Kestrie's 19-inch height compare?

The Ashley Kestrie PC6870608 stands 19 inches high, making it a useful footrest candidate for sofas and sectionals with seat heights close to that measurement. For relaxed leg support, an ottoman generally works best when its cushioned surface is approximately level with, or slightly below, the sofa's seat. A much taller ottoman may position the legs uncomfortably high, while a substantially lower one can create a noticeable drop. Kestrie's firm cushion provides a supportive surface for resting the feet, although individual comfort depends on body proportions and seating posture. Its 39-inch width and depth also mean it requires considerably more floor space than a small footstool. These considerations connect to matching a living room centerpiece's height and proportions to surrounding seating. Before purchasing, measure the sofa's seat height and available floor space rather than relying on the ottoman's appearance alone.

Does the Kestrie Feathered ottoman pair with the Kestrie modular sectional, and where should it be placed?

The Ashley Kestrie Ottoman PC6870608 coordinates with the Kestrie Feathered 6-Piece Modular Sectional with Chaise PC68706S14 through their matching light upholstery and contemporary design. The sectional measures 164 inches wide by 126 inches deep, creating a large lounging arrangement that can accommodate a complementary upholstered ottoman when the room has adequate open space. Position the ottoman in front of a seating section for shared footrest use or move it to the side when guests need additional seating. Because Kestrie has a 39-by-39-inch square footprint, it should not block access to the chaise or interrupt a main walkway. Allowing approximately 30–36 inches for important circulation routes is a useful planning target. This is especially relevant when comparing the room-planning flexibility of a modular sectional with a conventional sofa arrangement. The ottoman can complement other neutral sofas as well, but the matching Kestrie sectional provides the most cohesive visual pairing.

Add flexible lounging space with the Ashley Kestrie Feathered Oversized Ottoman PC6870608 from VBU Furniture. Its generously cushioned surface complements the Kestrie sectional or other neutral living room seating. We offer Chicagoland pickup, delivery across Chicago and Illinois, and shipping throughout the contiguous 48 states.
