Why choose the Ashley Gaelon Queen Sofa Sleeper 3730739?
The Ashley Gaelon 3730739 brings more traditional character to the sleeper-sofa category with subtle herringbone-effect upholstery, decorative nailhead trim and bun legs. Its 72 inches of seating space between the arms gives the sofa a broad everyday seating area, while the 23-inch seat depth creates a deeper lounging profile. When extra sleeping space is needed, a 60" × 72" memory foam mattress unfolds from inside the sofa over a supportive steel frame. The Dune upholstery keeps the traditional detailing relatively neutral and easy to coordinate with other furnishings.

How much room should you plan for the Ashley Gaelon 3730739?
The Gaelon is 87 inches wide and 41 inches deep in everyday sofa form, so it has a deeper closed footprint than many sleepers in the 37- to 38-inch range. With the bed opened, the distance from the outside back of the sofa to the end of the sleeper is 93 inches. Allow at least that much room depth for the bed itself, then add extra space at the foot if you want an open walking path. When weighing
sofa types for apartments,
it is important to distinguish the 41-inch overall sofa depth from the 23-inch usable seat depth and from the much larger open sleeper footprint.
What kind of mattress is included with the Ashley Gaelon 3730739?
Inside the Gaelon is a bi-fold queen memory foam mattress measuring 60 inches wide, 72 inches long and 4 inches thick. It rests on a supportive steel sleeper frame, creating a dedicated guest sleeping surface separate from the sofa cushions. Those actual measurements are useful when comparing a
sofa and sleeper sofa,
because sleeper mattresses can differ from standard bedroom mattresses in both size and thickness.
What gives the Gaelon 3730739 its more traditional appearance?
The Gaelon uses several details that are less common on minimalist sleeper sofas. Its polyester upholstery has a subtle herringbone effect, decorative nailhead trim outlines the arms, and bun legs add a more furniture-like traditional base. Those details give the sofa visual character without changing its practical role as a queen sleeper.
Is the Gaelon 3730739 a deep sofa for everyday sitting?
The sofa is 41 inches deep overall, but the usable seat depth is 23 inches. Those are different measurements: overall depth includes the back and frame, while seat depth describes the sitting area from front to back. A 23-inch seat is on the deeper side and may appeal to shoppers who prefer a more relaxed lounging position.
