How much room should you plan for the Tallow Creek PC3170639 when the sleeper is open?
The Tallow Creek is already a deep sofa at 44 inches front to back and spans 98 inches along the wall. With the queen sleeper opened, the distance from the outside back of the sofa to the end of the bed is 92 inches. Use that 92-inch figure as the actual open sleeper depth. If the space at the foot also functions as a walkway, allow about
30–36 inches of walkway clearance
beyond the bed, with about 36 inches preferred for a primary circulation route. That additional clearance is for walking access, not part of the sleeper itself.
How should the Tallow Creek PC3170639 performance fabric be cleaned?
Ashley specifies mild soap and water for routine cleaning of the Next-Gen Nuvella upholstery, followed by air drying. For stubborn stains, the published instructions call for a solution of 4 ounces of bleach to 28 ounces of water. The seat cushions are reversible, so they can also be flipped and fluffed periodically to help refresh the seating. Follow the manufacturer care directions rather than assuming the covers are machine washable.
What mattress does the Ashley Tallow Creek PC3170639 include?
The sleeper uses a bi-fold queen memory foam mattress measuring 60 inches wide, 72 inches long and 4 inches thick. It rests on a supportive steel frame, and Ashley describes the memory foam as designed for better airflow with damask ticking around the mattress. The overnight surface is separate from the everyday sofa cushions, which is an important distinction when comparing a
sofa and sleeper sofa.
What does the 28-inch seat depth mean on the Tallow Creek PC3170639?
The verified seat depth is 28 inches, which is considerably deeper than many conventional sofas and creates a more laid-back lounging position. That may appeal to shoppers who like to sit farther back, curl up or use the sofa for extended movie-night seating. The 28-inch seat depth should not be confused with the sofa's full 44-inch overall depth, which includes the back and frame.
