Why consider the IFD Mezquite IFD6621NTS 2-Drawer Nightstand?
The IFD Mezquite IFD6621NTS stands out for its warm brown wood tones and the natural grain, knots and color variation visible through its lightly distressed translucent finish. At 28 inches wide and 26.5 inches high, it provides a substantial bedside surface without being unusually tall. Two drawers keep everyday bedside items out of sight, while gold-finished handles add contrast against the natural wood appearance. It is a strong option for shoppers specifically looking for a brown wood nightstand with visible grain rather than the uniform look of a painted or heavily covered finish.
What type of wood is used in the IFD Mezquite IFD6621NTS?
Mango wood is a primary material in the IFD Mezquite IFD6621NTS, while International Furniture Direct also lists Melina and engineered Melina among its materials. The drawer fronts are specifically identified as 100% solid wood and use English-dovetail construction. Hafele steel glides support the drawers, and the upper drawer is lined with microfiber. A translucent multi-step finish leaves much of the natural wood character visible, including grain, knots and normal variations in color and pattern. Because these characteristics come from the wood itself, individual Mezquite nightstands should not be expected to have completely identical grain patterns.
What bed height works well with the Mezquite IFD6621NTS Nightstand?
At 26.5 inches high, the Mezquite IFD6621NTS has a moderate bedside height that may pair well with many standard mattress and bed-frame combinations. For comfortable reach, many shoppers prefer the top of a nightstand to sit reasonably close to the top of the mattress. Measure from the floor to the top of your mattress and compare that number with the Mezquite's 26.5-inch height before ordering. The nightstand is also 28 inches wide and 19.75 inches deep, so checking the available space between the bed and nearby walls or furniture is useful. Bed-frame height also changes that relationship, particularly when comparing a

How much bedside storage does the IFD Mezquite IFD6621NTS provide?
The IFD Mezquite IFD6621NTS has two enclosed drawers, giving it more concealed bedside storage than an open table or single-drawer nightstand. The drawers can keep smaller everyday items such as reading materials, charging cables, personal accessories and other bedside necessities out of view while leaving the 28-inch-wide top available for a lamp, phone or decorative items. The upper drawer is microfiber lined, which adds a softer interior surface for smaller belongings. How much bedside storage you need can also depend on whether your room layout works better with
two nightstands, one nightstand or no nightstand
